MCD Properties Group

Melvin Diaz

CEO & Founder of MCD Properties Group LLC

Melvin Diaz has 38 years of experience in hotel engineering and construction management and has worked with the world’s top hotel brands such as Marriott, Accor, and IHG during his extensive career. Prior to starting MCD Properties Group, LLC, Mr. Diaz worked as the Director of Engineering and Construction Project Manager for many large-scale hotel renovations nationwide. His biggest accomplishment in the hotel industry was the conversion of an Embassy Suites into a five-star Conrad Hilton in New York City Battery Park. He collaborated closely with top designers, architects, engineers, and contractors in the industry. Mr. Diaz has a keen eye for detail and has a strong appreciation for each property’s individual personality and challenges. These experiences inspired him to start his own business based on the same core values and fundamental beliefs of these high-end hotel chains.

He was propelled into the real estate development sector in the early 80’s after purchasing his first investment property to renovate and sell. With opportunities to improve lives in his own community, Mr. Diaz purchased and refurbished properties, making them great, affordable starter homes for young families who formerly thought home ownership was far beyond their reach. Conversely, he saw an opportunity to provide sellers with win-win solutions for distressed properties that owners were having a tough time selling. Based on this notion, he founded MCD Properties Group, LLC in Florida as a solution-oriented company that solves real estate challenges quickly and efficiently throughout the U.S. He is committed to providing clients true value and carries himself with integrity, honesty, trust, and kindness to humanity. Mr. Diaz has an educational background from New York Tech in Architecture Design, and Construction Management. Residing in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, when he is not solving real estate challenges, he can be found singing and strumming his guitar to his own beat.
